This list should've been made 2 months ago but I needed a breather. Despite 2011's craziness, I'm glad to have accomplished all that I did during it. I've been a lot more selective with the concerts I attend (maybe because I'm getting older?) Intimacy and comfort is extremely rare in a city full of music junkies. Still, I was able to spend some of my best nights of 2011 with Loudon Wainwright, Megafaun, Wye Oak, Hurray for Riff Raff, Joe Pug, A Hawk & a Hacksaw and Tennis.

Speaking of shows, caught Tiny Victories 2 nights ago. A very fun duo to see live.

One last note, I'm going to try and bring back a short-lived blog started with friends a little while ago. It was a bit insane to have started it during a busy time. Hopefully I'll be able to live up to my word! Here's to share, Devoir.

When I was getting off at Grand Central this morning, I saw a man getting up for the stop. However, his coat was stuck in between his seat and a pole. He tried yanking it out but it wouldn't budge. I went over and tried to help him too... but no success. I had to get off the train before the doors closed and when the train took off, I saw him still tugging at his coat. I told May what happened.

May: Maybe it was meant to be. Maybe he got off a stop later and met someone.
Me: He was 50... wait, MAYBE he met his first wife!
May: Maybe he met his first love! From when he was this tall! (4ft tall) They recognized each other immediately and walked all the way back to Grand Central together!
